Woe is the beer mime
he can’t speak the poetry
in praise of fine beer

This poor mime needs a beer.

References: A Good Beer Blog is having a beer poetry contest and the winner gets tickets to TAP NY Craft Beer Festival, April 28-29, 2007. Deadline is April 10. Poems must be 100 words or more which disqualifies haiku, unless you string a bunch together.

Hey – I bailed on the 100 and made it 50 or three stanzas of haiku: http://beerblog.genx40.com/archives/2007/march/agoodbeerblog
And besides – what is illegitimate about that? Is there a poetic reason not to require quality and quantity? If we are going to rumble about poetry do I get to throw down the gaunlet and suggest that you have issues with multiple stanzas? I have the BA in English Lit and I am prepared to use it!
Besides, the prize is rather sweet and we need entries of all sorts.
Hi Alan,
Please don’t think I was besmirching your contest. I was just trying to highlight the plight of the poor mime who has no chance to win your poetry contest.
Cheers!
Friggin’ mimes. Never liked them. Not one bit. Catch me running a beer blog miming contest? Never. Ne-ver. You know how you get to be a mime? Not drinking craft beer.
