common sense prevails
responsibility wins
beer remains a choice

References: I recently wrote about a referendum in Athens, Alabama to decide whether alcohol sales should remain legal. Well, the results are in and common sense and freedom prevailed. The lopsided results (68% against prohibition to 32% for it) show that it is a small minority of vocal people that want to take away the rights and freedoms of the majority. The great thing about choice is that every individual gets to decide for themselves whether they do or do not want to enjoy an alcoholic beverage in moderation. The decision is not forced on them by a few condescending and paternalistic individuals with dubious claims to moral superiority.
